Skyward Family Access - New to Belton (2024)

To begin the new student enrollment process, you will need to request an account. You only need ONE account as a parent/guardian to submit multiple new student registration applications for the children in your family. The account request process can be completed either with or without an email address – follow the appropriate steps for either below.

Requesting an Account WITH an Email Address

Enter all of the required fields using your legal name, prefix/suffix, email address and phone number.

Click the button that says “Click here to submit Online Enrollment Account Request”.

You will see a message that tells you an email is being sent to the address you entered. Click OK.
Check your email account for an email from skyward@bisd.net. This email contains your login credentials and a link to continue the enrollment process.
Click the link in the email to open the Skyward Family Access Login page.
Take note of the password in the email. You will need this to login to Skyward.

Requesting an Account WITHOUT an Email Address

Enter all of the required fields using your legal name, prefix/suffix, email address and phone number.

If you do not have an email address, check the box that says “I don’t have an email”. Then enter a login username instead.

Click the button that says “Click here to submit Online Enrollment Account Request”

A request confirmation screen will appear.

Click OK.

An enrollment confirmation screen will appear.

Your assigned username and password will be displayed. YOU MUST MAKE A NOTE OF BOTH TO CONTINUE.

Note: Since you do not have an email account, you can only continue the enrollment process with this information.

Click OK and you will be redirected to the login page. You will use the credentials you wrote down to continue.

You can go to STEP TWO.

After you receive your online enrollment account information from STEP ONE, you will need to login with those credentials to submit your student enrollment application forms.

Enter your login ID.

If you used an email address, that will be your login ID.

If you did not use an email address, your login ID will be the username you selected.

Enter the password that was provided to you, either in the email you received, or in the account request process if you did not have an email

Click Sign In.

You will immediately be taken into the New Student Enrollment Application Form and can begin completing the application.

Application Form Example

The New Studnet Enrollment: Application Form looks like the sample below. Please note the following:

Use the top orange buttons to save your progress, print your application, or leave without saving.
Each step has a Save and a Save and Collapse button. Use these to save the steps.
Require fields are marked witha a red astrisk *
Each form has a Google Translate option close to the top of the page. Use this to translate the pages if needed.

The application has six required steps:

Step 1: Student Information.

Step 2: Family/Guardian Information

Step 3: Medical/Dental Information

Step 4: Emergency Contact Information

Step 6: Requested Documents

Step 7: Additional District Forms

All required fields are marked with a red asterisk *.

When you complete each step, click the "Complete Step" button at the bottom of the step.
If you need to save and come back to a step, use “Save” or “Save and Collapse Step” at the top of the step.

If you need to exit the application and return to complete the remainder of the steps, click the “Save and Go to Summary Page” button at the bottom or top of the screen. Your work will be saved for the next time you log back in.

Additional notes on individual sections that need further explanation are listed below.

Step 1: Student Information

DATES OF ENROLLMENT:

On the Dates of Enrollment section, be sure to select the correct Enrollment Date.

Select the correct School Year you are enrolling in.

If you are enrolling for the current school year, enter the date you expect your student to start school.

If you are enrolling for the next school year, select Next School Year and check First Day of School

Select the expected grade level and school.

Use the Find My Child’s School to open the School Finder website.

Then enter your student’s address to find the school in your attendance zone.

If you are enrolling for 2024-2025, you must select Next School Year (2024-2025)

Step 2: Family/Guardian Information

ALL PARENT/GUARDIANS AT ONE ADDRESS

If your child’s parent/guardians live at the same address, you will enter your address and name information first, and then use the button that says “Yes, I want to Add another Legal Guardian who lives at this address.” You will then only have to enter name/relationship details for the second and additional parent/guardians who are at the same address. When you have completed entering all guardians living at the same address, click the button that says “No other Legal Guardians live at this Address”

PARENT/GUARDIANS AT MULTIPLE ADDRESSES

If your child’s parent/guardians live at multiple addresses, follow the steps above to list all parent/guardians at the first address. Then click button that says “No Other Legal Guardians live at this Address”. Below that, you will see a question that says “Are there Legal Guardians who Live at a Different Address?” Click the buttons that says “Yes, I want to add a Legal Guardian who Lives at a Different Address.” You can then add another family or individual who lives at a different address.

Step 5: Requested Documents

Scan or photograph all of the required documents for enrollment, then upload them from your computer or phone using the “Choose File” button on your device. Please see the Belton ISD Enrollment website for a complete list of required documents. www.bisd.net/enrollment

Step 7: Additional District Forms

The additional district forms section of the application has buttons that allow you to open an online form that collects additional information for your enrollment application.

Click each button to open the online form.

Complete the form online, enter your full legal name and the current date as the electronic signature.

The top right corner has buttons to Save, Save and Print and Back. To save and close the form, click Save.

The form should show that it has been completed.

You can then click the next form to continue and follow the same steps

Each Additional District form has a Google Translate option on the top left side of the form. Use this option to translate the page if needed.

When you are done completing all six steps and all required additional district forms, click “Complete Step 6” and then “Submit Application to the District.” Then click “Submit Application” again on the window that appears.

The campus registrar will then review your application and contact you if additional information is needed.
